Alawan ensemble is composed by 7 musicians who play original ethnic music/world music from the Middle East. Dvir Revital (oud) Myriam Sarfati (violin) Eden Hacohen (Nay) Eitam Ben Yaakov (Tar, Guitar, kupuz) Yaakov Hai Arad (Qanun and vocal) Matan Ben Yosef (Contrebass) Benya Kober (Percussion) Alawan Ensemble was formed in winter 2017 in the Galilee, Israel, during mutual studies of classical, folk and sacred music traditions of the Middle East (Maqamat Music Center). The members of the ensemble compose, arrange and play the music all together. Their music create a unique ethnic sound into the World Music genre.
