Born out of Portsmouth, growing up in the UK was no walk in the park for Obi Don. Faced with adversity from a young age, the budding artist spent most of his childhood in and out of care homes, taking to the streets at age fourteen. Amidst the struggle Obi discovered Hip Hop, and so began a lifelong passion that would see him overcome many challenges and give outlet to his creativity. Although Obi Don has many influences, at the forefront stands Slim Shady. He found many parallels between their lives and always admired Slim’s sense of humor in his rhymes, a trait that is reflected in his own music. At the end of the day Obi just wants to see everyone smile and remind us that regardless of what ails you from the past, laughter is the best medicine, and the future is bright. 😁🤟❤️
