Witness Indo-Canadian and global citizen, DAHLIA, Winner of “Best Singer-Songwriter” by the 2017 Toronto Independent Music Awards, Best EP nominee at the IMAs in NYC and whose work has been featured in Rolling Stone India, Netflix, NBC, Disney Channel and more. Stacked with a brand new EP releasing 2021 titled "Re:Birth", a fusion of Pop, Soul, R&B and elements of World Pop that showcases her signature evocative vocals, moving melodies and catchy hooks. DAHLIA’s position as one of the most versatile songwriters on the scene is firmly established via collaborations with stars including (but not limited to) hip-hop head Rich Kidd (Drake, Busta Rhymes), R&B writer/producer Roy Hamilton III (Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, N'Sync), Brian Jackson and Multi-Emmy-award winning, Steve D'Angelo. Born in Mumbai, she shuffled between Dubai and India a lot during her childhood until she moved to Toronto in the late 1990s. Her travels and global musical influences are evident in her melodic choices and vocal trills. Her last EP, Shift caught the attention of many and led to a national tour in India in 2018, a licensing deal with Eggplant Collective, a feature in Songtradr's "Latest and Greatest" and much more. "I grew up listening to my Dad's records and the music in our home was filled with such eclectic music from Irish folk to Reggae. I take this same world approach to my music and want to defy genres. I don't want to be put in a box. After all, I did not grow up in one!"
