Brussels based duo Orphan Swords have made a name for themselves, specialising in formal radicalism and brutal-yet-danceable live performances. Yet, defining their project and vision for several years, Pierre de Mûelenaere (Maze & Lindholm) and Yannick Franck (RAUM, Mt Gemini, Figure Section) have, in this, explored a multitude of sounds and styles, delivering heavy industrial pulses, dark trance, post-wave, throbbing live rave techno and deep introspective soundscapes. Their music has been released on a.o., Aurora Borealis, Desire Records and Clan Destine Records. Ever refined yet never for the faint hearted, their music is at once conceptually rigorous and powerfully presented.
