The artist keyDeaux, hailing from Boston, moved to Atlanta at an early age with his father. Crediting his parents for instilling a strong passion for music earlier on in his life Key was fortunate to see behind the scenes of the business as his father was a part of the 90’s hip hop group ‪Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch‬.   With his early exposure to the pitfalls of the business and seeing the struggles of an artist first hand, keyDeaux didn’t decide to fully immerse himself into making music until 2016. With the release of his first single, “Flex” in 2017, keyDeaux wasn’t sure if there would be much support from his friends and family with his choice of pursuing music full time.  With the success of the song and garnering attention from the likes of Blac Chyna, who reposted to her millions of followers, key knew he had made the right choice to pursue music.   With “Flex”, keyDeaux realized it was time to record more material and start to hone in on his sound. Turning to one of his friends who had an in-home studio he began to craft his sound that begin to touch on everything from love to the pitfalls and allure of the streets. With a few releases under his belt keyDeaux has found recent success with his current single, “Spaceships”. Currently streaming 450K and counting, it’s safe to say that keyDeaux has found his sound and is the voice of a generation who wants to escape the hardships of life and do better for everyone around them.
