Angel in Distress

See You in Hell

Biography

Darryl Walters Jr., known professionally as Combz, is an American rapper and songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. He was born on May 30, 1991 to Tawana Byers and Darryl Walters Sr.
The rapper was raised in a middle-class family, splitting his time between his mother and father. His father was a janitor at his school, which led to him being bullied, physically and verbally.
Combz’ name was derived from kids at school teasing him, saying that he resembled the light brown, crazy-haired mascot for the Honeycombs cereal. The name stuck and was eventually shortened to Combz.
He began writing music in 2003, however he officially started recording in 2010. His first project See You In Hell was released in 2011. His other projects include: Angel in Distress (2012), Whoreson (2013), Christ (2015), I Can’t Sleep So I Stay Up (2016), Ain’t No Sunshine (2017).
Combz’ has cited 2Pac, Eminem, MF Doom, Redman, Young Jeezy, Big L, Biggie Smalls, Lil Wayne, Nas, Jay-Z, along with his father, grandfather, and other local Columbus rappers as his influences.
