Biography

Born in Paris in 1977, Adrien Chicot is a French pianist and composer who learned music on his own, until he joined the school of the Belmondo brothers, who quickly saw the birth of the new generation of great musicians, committed to living jazz until 'to the dregs (Sophie Alour, Samy Thiebault, Géraldine Laurent etc.) Adrien Chicot therefore established himself on the young French jazz scene, becoming the sure reflection of music borrowing from the most classical influences, always attentive and concerned with the sharp mastery of contemporary jazz. His music, very instinctive, marked by a sensitive architecture, therefore engages its role in the rhythm of several groups (Samy Thiebault quartet, Julien Alour quintet, Jean Philippe Scali sextet etc.) He also shared the stage and the studio, with Lionel and Stéphane Belmondo, Avishai Cohen, Olivier Temime, Simon Goubert, Seamus Blake, Sophie Alour, and many other jazz pioneers. From 2013 to 2019 he composed a series of trio albums, each time commented on by a unanimous press and conquered by his unique interpretation of a tireless heritage. In 2020 he opens his writing to the brass for which he designs the music of Babyland, which will be released on October 15, 2021. website // http://adrienchicot.com
