Toast is a 24 year old rapper who grew up in Northern Virginia and is part of a music collective, Double Dollars (aka $$). Toast currently resides in San Francisco where he continues to grow his sound, create, and find his place in this world. His unique choice of beats and flows is what sets him apart from many other emcee’s of today, drawing heavy inspiration from the likes of MF Doom, Earl Sweatshirt, Mac Miller, Felly and more. He combines the use of sampling and classic boom-bap sound with crisp, unique lyrics that slide right into the beat. His first EP titled Paid In Youth tells the listener the story of his trials and tribulations through life. While listening to this EP, listen for the stories and lessons he provides while also paying attention to the way he delivers them. Toast has dropped a number of singles including Narcan, Gary, and Early Early v2, and Looking Good which further show his ability to create original, unorthodox songs that include references to his life and comedic lines to draw in the listener. In early 2021, Toast released his debut full length album titled, Toast TV, executively produced by Kirti Pandey. Toast TV is a journey through the life of Toast all while encompassing the theme of television. As some say, "the television is the retina of the minds eye" and Toast runs with this idea, using TV to influence the listeners experience. His growth as an artist is evident in Toast TV's concept, delivery, lyricism, and sound quality.
