Curly was born in Surrey, BC, and grew up in Regina, SK, moving back to the West coast after experiencing a traumatic split of his parents. He was then brought up in foster care/group homes experiencing a troublesome/poverty-stricken teenage venture dealing with the police consistently, as well as falling into drug addiction. He since turned his life around and been focused on music about stories/experiences he's been through in his life.
