Hi and thank you for reading! As of this writing [11-12-21] I'm about to release my third solo album in as many years, which is a total dream come true already for me (a marathon completion type feeling, whatever that feels like). The album titles sound like counting to 3 in Spanish (this is only place I am saying that). My real name is Jake Waitzman, and I've played drums ever since a pivotal Jr. High birthday drum set summer after having just seen Rush for the first time. I continued playing drums from Birmingham, Alabama with underground bands- Vulture Whale and Ham Bagby being notable. For these three records I've worked with friend and sometime bandmate Les Nuby to co-produce and fill in on the shreddier licks on the records. The songs start as fragments in my mind that I scurry off into a corner and hum into Evernote on my phone. I used to have to carry small pocket recorders (pre-smartphone days).
