Julie/Anne, a passionate music lover and a very talented emerging artist from the Montreal underground music scene. Born out of the underground through the encounter of the prog and the techno. This brought her in 2015 to get into djing, and she did it her way by only following her strong intuition and musical sense and most of all by self-teaching herself. One of her biggest accomplishments so far, has been the opportunity to open for Eekkoo (Canadian producer - mau5trap) at Piknic Electronik in July 2021, the most sought out summer event in Montreal. As she never stops evolving, Julie/Anne recently decided to pair up with producer Lilla Støv and is currently working on her first productions. "Wolken" was released in July and received early support from Hernan Cattaneo. Stay tuned for more textures and sounds. In terms of musical styles, Julie/Anne does not define herself as a “one genre” DJ. She creates sound journeys that weave various textures and sounds, whether they come from the melodic house, dark progressive, even organic and afro sides. As a true artist, she crafts her sets according to the desired ambiance, but always with her unique storytelling. If you are lucky enough to attend one of Julie/Anne’s gigs, you will rapidly find that she’s a true, authentic, and very passionate artist who just loves to perform live in front of music lovers from everywhere. There’s just an indescribable energy about her that makes you ask for more.
