As a native of Chicago’s Southside, the artist known affectionately for years as ‘BeeKay’ personifies the many facets of the city he hails. Whether he’s harmonizing confessions of sins to a lover, addressing the state of black people, or simply starting a party, BeeDotKay is tapping into the deepest parts of his mind to forge a sound that is infections, dynamic, and captivating. 
 Born as Brandon Saunders, BeeDotKay creates music with the intent for it to play as the soundtrack for moments that feel specific to listeners, and still universally relatable. 
 “I want to talk about things that we all feel as people, yet folks hardly talk about. Other times, I want to be vain, get lit and go out.” This makes sense for someone who spent their early-life navigating through the polarizing social circles of church, private and public school, the streets, and college. 
 BeeDotKay draws musical influence from genres more than specific artists, though he has his favorites, he insists drawing most of his influence from 90s culture. As a gifted story teller with a knack for finding infections flows and melodies over a myriad of production styles, he is taking aim at permanent residency within the music industry.
