WLLY, a rising star of emo rap hailing from Washington, DC, brings a unique blend of cloud rap, emo rap, and pop rap to the music scene. Influenced by legends like Lil Peep, Juice WRLD, and Michael Jackson, as well as bands like Black Sabbath and Beach House, WLLY's musical journey began at the young age of six when he would put together songs on the piano. It wasn’t until his final semester at The University of Maryland that WLLY would put together all the pieces to finally produce and record his own music. Venturing into the world of music production and recording, WLLY quickly found his voice, releasing notable projects such as the "October Court" EP, a fusion of pop-punk and emo rap elements, and the experimental "Dust 2 Dust" project. Growing up in a bustling household as the youngest of six, WLLY's eclectic musical upbringing, ranging from The Rolling Stones to Gwar, shaped his diverse sound palette. Drawing from personal experiences and familial influences, WLLY's introspective lyrics and captivating vocal melodies offer solace and understanding to those navigating feelings of alienation and loneliness. Performing under the moniker "WLLY," derived from "We Lost Love Young," the artist advocates for awareness and empathy, resonating with audiences who have experienced loss or isolation. With recent performances earning acclaim for his dynamic range and emotive performances, WLLY continues to captivate audiences with his authentic expression and genre-defying sound.
