Biography

I first remember having a passion for singing when I was about 7. Growing up in a Christian family I sung in the youth choir. Most of my older siblings had bit more shine than I did when it came to singing on Sundays, so I just kept my voice to myself and only sung around my little brother Aaron. I would steal old CD's out of my dad’s truck and listening to them over and over again because I had no CD's of my own. When I was about 13, the only albums I had access to where “R” by R. Kelly, “Enter the Dru” by Dru Hill and “100% Ginuwine” by Ginuwine. I listen to those tracks so much that I began to notice that I sounded just like them. I could hit every note and every run by any artist. It was then when I decided to let the world hear my voice. I began to sing in the school choir earning plaques and ribbons for my solo ensembles. I sang a couple of national anthems at school and won two talent shows during my middle school and high school time period. As time went on I enter more talent shows and performed at a couple of events but it wasn’t until 2007 when I had the desire to record my vocal talent. About three of my friends had recording equipment and every so often I would run up to either of their rooms to record. I featured in a couple of song with them but of course nothing serious enough to get recognition for. Getting more comfortable and creative as time went on I started my first mixtape in 2009 titled “My Zone”, a title inspired by my first single “My zone”.
