laced is Montreal electronic music producer Nela Paki, whose live sets bottle the distilled percolations of UK-influenced breaks, electro and IDM. Previously performing under aliases such as S. Tease and Lacedetail, Nela now uses the laced moniker for her current output of dreamy, entrancing electronic patterns. She debuted her live hardware sets in the Montreal noise-techno scene in 2016, opening for acts such as E-Saggila, Hiro Kone, Jaclyn Kendall and Minimal Violence. Her first EP "Define This Mood" was released through E-Saggila's and Death Kneel's Summer Isle imprint in 2018, providing a blistering surge of industrial-influenced tracks. In 2019, she started her label Causal Chain, pushing elegantly destructive compositions that draw from IDM, techno and breaks, deeply inspired by the UK bass sound - many of those influences are also detectable on her mixes on Montreal's n10.as radio station as Saudade, alongside collaborator Lyonnais Archambault. Of the belief that making music in a social vacuum makes no sense, laced has also incorporated ethics into her productions that redistribute resources to organizations such as Puerto Rico's Hurricane Maria Community Relief & Recovery Fund as well as the Unist'ot'en Legal Fund. In 2020 she co-founded audio bambino while discovering an infinite realm of club sounds all over SoundCloud.
