Its conscious rap that seeks under the skin and down into the existential crisis where the human conflict lives .The DMF award winning artist, Karrierekanonen finalist and African award nominated rapper Elo Kay, is a talented hip-hop artist. He has shared stage with big names such as the three times Grammy award winner Nelly, Rapsody, and played support act for Danish artists such as Carpark North , Nabiha and Barbara Moleko. Born in Africa, Zambia, Elo Kay had to grow up and learn to deal with hardship from a very young age. His parents divorced when he was just a kid and he experienced death at the age of 7 when his father passed away and left him and his brothers to fend for themselves. At the age of 11 he moved to Denmark to live with his mother and had to adapt to a whole new culture and all it’s unwritten codes. The absence of love in his early years and the hardship of his childhood is portrayed through his lyrics and his songs. In 2016, Elo released his second EP ‘Illuminate’ that introduced him as a household name on the Danish hip-hop scene. His single ‘All Week was released in 2017. His debut Album " Village By The Woods" is out 14th May.
