Formed in 1998, SCHIZOID is the project of J SCHIZOID, Canadian extreme electronic musician who also is acting manager of cult digipunk net label D-TRASH Records. Generally associated with the digital hardcore/industrial music scene, SCHIZOID offering a hellbent blackened metal take on the style amping up with chaotic guitars and blastbeat element. The act has metamorphesized into alternate sounds, exploring ambient/drone genres on the "J SCHIZOID" releases, or in 2019 as a full-length black metal album by "THE SCHIZOID". SCHIZOID has remixed for RED HARVEST, AMBASSADOR 21, MORTIIS, AGNOSTIC FRONT and live has performed on bills with MERZBOW, ANAAL NATHRAKH, EC80R, MELT BANANA, HANZEL UND GRETEL & more.
