Her mother loved 80s house music and Pop; Mariah Carey, Prince, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Bob Marley, Celia Cruz, and No Doubt were major influences early on. She got involved in the underground Hip Hop culture of LA as a teen and young adult. However, her airy and sultry voice blends magically over upbeat dance music.
