Recently graduated with distinction from Berklee College of Music, Nelleke's debut EP 'bird /on concrete' reflects her evolution as an artist. with a dedicated team by her side, she carefully crafted this musical journey, ready to hit the live stage in 2024. Nelleke has just finished a US tour in the summer of ‘23, which paved the way for the release of her EP that came out last fall. She splits her time between her hometown of Rotterdam, The Netherlands and London, UK. ‘’Through my music I'm battling the stigma around softness. Softness doesn't mean feminine. It doesn't mean masculine. Softness means it all; it’s a powerful word because it implies acceptance. Softness also implies setting boundaries and/or releasing anger and I guess above all, it breathes duality. I always had the sense that I wanted to support people to feel things deeply; to feel rather than to over analyze. I try to intimately communicate this through my songs, and embrace the duality of life through my voice and through my music.''
