Matthew Ontiveros, also known by his family and fans as “Matmiie'', is a Hispanic Hip Hop artist who was born in Texas and raised in Indiana. From family traumas to rejection and depression, Matmiie has endured all his trials by finding the motivation in music. Therefore, music is not just his hobby, it is his dream. As a true artist, Matthew has been perfecting his craft for over a decade and has come a very long way over the years. Others see it too; including his cousin, who became his manager after seeing his potential, who continues to push him to pursue his dreams. Matmiie’s Inspiration for music goes far beyond rap/Hip-Hop; He also draws inspiration from rock, pop, country, and Latin music. After writing his first song in 5th grade, Matthew has been writing music ever since. And after recording his first song in 9th grade, he decided to invest in a home studio. This helped to give him the ability to learn how to mix and master his own music. From his first professionally recorded song “I’m sorry”, to his first mixtape “Humble Beginnings vol. 1”; Matmiie has had full creative control over his music and has been completely invested in all parts of his sound. Currently, Matmiie is focused on continuing to elevate his music. With a near endless supply of music to come in English and Spanish, we have much to look forward to.
