Operadora develops as pop spin-off of the experimentation of Marder, the artist collective oriented to improvisation. Active since 2009, the project originally arises around the compositions of Mene Savasta, produced in conjunction with Santiago Martinez. The duo collaborate with other musicians, such as Lucas Caballero and Alejandro Zak, and produced the 2009 EP. In 2011 Hernán Kerlleñevich joins the project and together they produce Retrato de Fase (2012). Since then they have been playing in a trio format, performing at art festivals and clubs of the under circuit, mostly in Buenos Aires. The depth of Operadora live sets arise from the mix of electronic music elements with a special taste of sound improvisation. Deconstructed songs fuse with experimental textures. Unheard soundscapes emerge. www.cargocollective.com/operadora
