Biography

Cinematic Pop is a classical crossover project conceived by composer/arranger Rob Gardner, Drex Davis (of Retrofitro), and McKane Davis. Gardner's prior releases included several sacred classical works, including Lamb of God, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and Spire Chorus. The group performed an arrangement of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" on the TV talent competition America's Got Talent in 2016. Their self-released debut, Prologue, followed in the spring of 2017 and landed on the Billboard Heatseekers and classical crossover charts. The groups second album "All the Lonely People" was released in 2021 and immediately climbed the charts once again. Both albums were recorded in London with the London Symphony Orchestra, and feature lead vocals by Spencer Jones (Redhill), McKenna Breinholt, and Cosette Smith. The album includes cinematic covers of songs by Tears for Fears, Aerosmith, Simon & Garfunkel, Boston, the Cure, Nirvana and more.
