After spending years writing simple melodies to pass the time, Ken Juno first began releasing music to Soundcloud in high school, hoping to cope with adolescent heartbreak through creativity. His rough-around-the-edges production and brutally honest lyricism made for a relatable charm that helped listeners around the world connect with his early songs. In 2016 Juno (then Kenji) collaborated with Austin based Sports Day Records to release a short compilation of singles, solidifying the unique style that would be described by tmrw magazine as “subtly sexy, awkwardly flirtatious, and unforgettably charismatic”.
