Claudia Liz is an independent Retro Soul singer-songwriter who has recorded original songs in many genres, including Mexican Rancheras and titles that have been placed in TV and Film. Her heart lies in creating original songs that follow in the musical styles of 60’s and 70’s Soul, Latin Soul, and Lowrider Oldies, referred to now as Souldies. Lyrics about love and heartbreak are at the center of her songwriting. Claudia Liz has featured with the Godfather of Chicano Rap Kid Frost (La Raza) on his 2024 Whittier & Atlantic album (released by Warner Music Mx), singing/writing on six songs, with features alongside radio hitmakers Baby Bash, Lil Rob, Frankie J and MC Magic. In 2022, Claudia Liz filmed her first music video single titled Still In Love featuring fellow San Diego-raised artist, Lil Rob. Her sound, as showcased on the track, is a blend of old Soul and R&B, but with a smooth modern feel. Drum-driven arrangement by longtime Hip-Hop producer Shysti, and infectious grooves by bass player Angel Couvertier-Lopez, make the song smooth and warm, but still rough enough to slap when cruising the boulevard.
