Biography

Alex Preston is a virtuosic guitarist, DJ and producer that is known for his unique blend of funk-driven guitar licks, disco tinged bass lines and club beats. The Sydney native has spent years honing his sound and carving out an exciting niche in the house music community. Alex has earnt over 30 million streams across platforms and has had a string of singles across globally recognised imprints, as well as regular drops on his own label Basement Sound. Jumping into the spotlight with 2021 hit single ‘Love You Better’ he caught industry attention from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Capital Dance, triple j and George FM, not to mention reaching #30 on the UK Shazam Chart, #10 on Beatport and spending several weeks in the Top 5 Most Played Records on 1001 Tracklists. Non-stop building on this momentum Alex has seen support from industry heavyweights around the globe with Claptone, Jamie Jones, Mark Knight, Idris Elba, Low Steppa and Floorplan, all dropping his tunes in their sets.
