Lisa Salvo is a Melbourne-based musician specialising in spacious, engulfing dream-folk. After releasing her pop-tinged debut album I Could Have Been a Castle independently in 2014, Salvo teamed up with Eastmint Records for a re-release in 2015 that included the album’s first vinyl pressing. Following this release Salvo's band evolved into a more collaborative project. Embracing her incisive pop instincts whilst moving further away from a conventional sound in favour of experimentation, Salvo created her current five piece band On Diamond. On Diamond’s self-titled debut album was released April 2019 via Eastmint Records. The LP is a perfect snapshot of their work - a journey into the subconscious expressed outwardly in chaos and beauty, with themes of the inner world on strong display. Coined as experimental pop, traces of rock, noise, folk and improvised music can all be found within On Diamond’s approach.
