In addition to being well known for creating the music to games like EarthBound Beginnings, EarthBound, Metroid, Balloon Fight, and Super Mario Land, Hirokazu Tanaka was also instrumental in the development of the Game Boy Camera. As a composer and arranger, he has written many songs for the animated TV and film versions of Pokémon. Since 2007, he has appeared as a DJ and live performer under aliases including Otona Buranko, Acerola Beach...and, of course, Chip Tanaka. ゲームソフト『MOTHER1』『MOTHER2』『メトロイド』『バルーンファイト』『スーパーマリオランド』などの音楽を手掛け、『ポケットカメラ』の商品開発などにも携わるとともに、作編曲家としても、TVアニメ、映画「ポケモン」の楽曲の多くを手掛ける作曲家、たなかひろかず によるライブ名義の1つ。 2007年より「大人ブランコ」「Acerola Beach」「Chip Tanaka」といくつかの名義にてDJ・ライブ活動を行っている。
