One listen to anything that Elijah “LX” Harvey puts his touch on and one thing is clear, he is an artist in the truest sense of the word. It makes sense then that LX stands for Living in X-zile. TheGerman born, Washington D.C. raised artist’s sound is reminiscent of a journey—worldly, introspective, provocative, and cultivated. Fitting, since LX has used music to help define and refine him since the age of 5. With the addition of the trumpet, guitar, and bass into his instrument repertoire, minoring in Music Theory at Bowie State, becoming Music Director for the campus’s radio station, and his first independent album “Eternity: The Rebirth” in 2004”. This is when his trajectory in the music industry started to escalate. Legendary radio DJ Ill Will played his single “DC Stand Up” on the radio, he was independently selling units, won the respect of Splif and Ludacris from Def Jam/Def Jam College and started promoting for signed artists. It was also at this time the 2x Nominated DMV Producer Of The Year became sought out as a producer, going on to work with Nappy Roots (which earned him a Southern Entertainment Award), UGK , Wale, Mya, Disturbing the Peace (DTP), Slip N Slide, Don Juan, and Bone Thugs N Harmony. In 2011 “Rockstar Killa” was released featuring some of the best names in music, followed by the 2014 release of “Eternity: Not Of This World”, both works he played the instruments on and produced.
