Recording artiste Don Scrue aka Laawd Gad is a multitalented recording artiste and songwriter. Born Michael Golding he is the epitome of talent and dexterity and has built a solid foundation for himself over the years as a high octane performer who is a force to be reckoned with. Most notably, Don Scrue has been recognized for his new refreshing approach to the genre, of dancehall and reggae both musically and visually. Originally from Crofts Hill, Clarendon, Don Scrue migrated to Brooklyn NY in 2003 where he currently resides. He started his high school education at the Edwin Allen High school and then continued at the Erasmus Hall Campus when he moved to the US. So far he has gone on to release tracks such as “We Gone Now,” “Up and Pumping,” ,” Trust Issues,” “Prevail” and the list of great works continue. He has also released the EP “Person of Interest” in 2015, and then he moved on to the follow EP called, “Still Person of Interest” in 2018. Additionally he has released “3845” and “Sensual Gratification” in 2020 plus three well received mixtapes. Don Scrue has had the opportunity to travel to many places and has shared stages with some of dancehall and reggae’s finest. One thing is certain about Don Scrue and that is his approach to mainstream music is unorthodox, so much so that he describes himself as a Jamaican dancehall hip hop reggae rapper.
