Rafael Energía Dominicana (Wilsikin ‘Rafael’ Medina) is a Montreal, Quebec, Canada based singer, songwriter and producer born in Bani, in the province of Peravia in the Dominican Republic. He performs and composes different genres of Latin-tropical music and is known as a tsunami of energía, a versatile contemporary popular Latin music artist, merenguero and bachatero. Rafael’s debut album Enamorarse en la playa is released on the historic ARC Music Ltd. based in the United Kingdom. With his live orchestra Rafael & Energía Dominicana has performed at a variety of prestigious festivals and events in Canada including the Montreal International Jazz Festival and opening shows for Latin music superstars Elvis Crespo and Gente de Zona among more.
