Biography

Named a Top 25 Ensemble by Early Music America, the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra is dedicated to excellent and exuberant performance of 17th and 18th-century music on period instruments. It is led by its artistic director, Barthold Kuijken. Praised for “radiating infectious joy” (Nuvo), members of the orchestra are some of the finest baroque specialists in North America. The Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra is a Naxos Record ensemble with 3 recent CD releases: The Grand Mogul, The Versailles Revolution, and The Lully Effect. Established in 1997, the IBO enjoys collaborating with organizations such as Newfields, Eskenazi Health, Indianapolis Early Music, and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir. www.indybaroque.org
