 Migrating in the late 90s from the busy streets of East London where the congested markets blasted out 90s Hiphop/RnB, Jungle, and Dance music. Where Jake Jon as an adolescent absorbed the highly energetic and intricate lyrics of urban music’s future stars, Jake was then then forced to recalibrate to a less Cosmopolitan Brighton town and was encouraged into appreciating the Brit pop/Pop sound. He crossed genres with fellow college eclectic musicians forming a Funk/Rock/HipHop inspired band named ‘PapaShango’ to reach hometown success as well as Major label attention.
