Biography

TaChae is a singer/songwriter from Toledo, Ohio. She began singing at the age of 3 and writing music by the time she was 11. Coming from a family of singers and musicians, gospel and r&b were introduced to her in the households of her early childhood. Knowing who her favorite artist was as a young teen, her mother bought her the Brandy Full Moon album for her fourteenth birthday that today she credits opened her ears to a new sound within herself. Heavily inspired, TaChae began creating music that people could hear and feel. She would fill all of her high school notebooks and binders with soul-written lyrics. Self-admittedly shy, she was very passionate about performance and theater. Monique used social media as a platform to network with other independent up-and-coming artists and musicians. She booked gigs at weddings, funerals, clubs and nursing facilities just from her local buzz. In 2012 she joined forces with independent label Audiodream Records and released her first single "Prove Me Wrong" and later "Touch Away" that had a public premier on YouTube. The songstress released her first EP entitled 'Sci Fi' in Fall 2013. She performed the National Anthem in July 2014 at the Toledo Mud Hens Stadium and was cast in her first movie film "Not Another Black Movie" in 2016 in Chicago. The rising star plans to do more acting and continues to write and produce new music with a most recent release of her visual EP entitled “Blk Riddim” in 2022.
