Dubem is a 29 year old, Multi-genre producer/rapper based in Columbus Ohio, with a sound that encapsulates an eclectic mixture of sounds ranging from jazz, hip hop, soul, and classical. He initially began his musical career as a producer, independently releasing three beat tapes between the years 2014 and 2017(Genesis, Oasis, and Godspeed). Feeling constrained by his skillset, he then decided to take a leap of faith by experimenting with lyricism. Such a drastic change in the trajectory of his music career led him to rebrand himself as both a rapper and a producer. Dubem is known for delivering hard hitting lyrics that are conveyed with precision, over experimental, unconventional production that borrows different aspects from a wide gamut of genres and influences.
