Biography

Mya Byrne began her career in 2006 with roots-rock band The Ramblers, sharing stages with such acts as Levon Helm and Heartless Bastards.
In 2014 she re-emerged as a solo artist under her own name. In 2021 she was featured on Reba’s remix of “I’m A Survivor”, produced by LaFemmebear. Byrne’s next LP, produced by Aaron Lee Tasjan in Nashville, is set to release in 2022 on Kill Rock Stars.
Other associated acts include The Homobiles, fronted by Lynn Breedlove (formerly of Tribe 8), and Paisley Fields. Mya’s own music has been favorably compared to Lucinda Williams by way of Nick Drake and Chris Stapleton. Since 2017, she's also toured and recorded with the legendary Lavender Country.
