Living Dead was formed in late 2015 by Louie Romero Jr. a.k.a "Groovy" and AJ Black. Their first live show jump started the popularity of Living Dead within their hometowns and gained immense support from hundreds of friends in the state of Colorado. The goal of Living Dead was to spread the love for hard bass music and to contribute by producing it. With 120 thousand streams on Soundcloud, it was time to take their mixing and producing to join the Love & Liquor label to distribute their music on all major platforms and stores. Before that would happen, the unexpected passing of AJ Black was a big setback and loss to Living Dead. The last unreleased songs that AJ was able to work on were "Bringing Out The Dead", "Purge Night"(Soundcloud only), and "Avalanche". Groovy took the motivation of keeping AJ's legacy alive by moving forward with Living Dead and using those songs to kick off the first official album "Lose Your Head". Since then, the EP "Gang Shit" and a new album "Rave Til The Grave" have been released by Groovy alone. Groovy has been expanding the sound that defines Living Dead with influences of the music he listened to growing up. Creating and clashing sounds like rap into EDM and dubstep, pure hip hop beats, house music, trap, and even lo-fi are all strengths that Groovy pushes Living Dead to achieve with every record. Every Living Dead release is dedicated to the memory of AJ Black and the supporters, friends, family, and fans that keep listening to the music.
