Greg Tanoose was raised among the music industry, playing as a session drummer by his early teens. He later played drums in the street rock band The Orphan Kings, playing the Austin club circuit. It is here he caught the attention of King Crimson drummer & producer Pat Mastelotto. Upon critique from Pat, Tanoose's production abilities began to take hold in the professional industry real. Upon producing hip-hop beats for TV sporting events, he then started his own Austin-based publishing label Austound Music. Here he produced and wrote his break-out club hit "What's In" featuring Michael Alig & KEOKI. This song garnered him the attention of major industry producers such as Joe Smooth, and hurled Greg Tanoose into the electronica and dance culture. Soon going by simply Tanoose, he developed his own unique take on house music, with "Foxy Music" featuring Dejah & Manzanera. His latest release is a collaboration "Diva" with members of King Crimson; set for release at the start of King Crimson's 50th anniversary tour. He continues to give a progressive and modern take on production; exploring various genres more & more. His upcoming EP "Electrostential" will combine prominent young DJs with various progressive rock legends.
