Initially known for the energetic, melodic dance anthems that lit up the night, The Suncatchers now stand at the precipice of a new dawn. A new sun is rising for Marian, the Denmark-based producer and songwriter behind the wheel, a new era infused with darkness, intimacy, trauma, sensuality, and deeply buried feelings that are finally coming out. Early influenced by the legendary Michael Jackson, the infectious beats of Modern Talking and ABBA, the soulful melodies of George Michael, and the Japanese city-pop artists from the 80s and 90s (thanks to a couple of cassette tapes brought home by his father from a trip to South Korea in 2004) such as Tomoko Aran, Mariya Takeuchi, Anri, and S. Kiyotaka & Omega Tribe, Marian's early musical journey was defined by a love for rhythm, melody and intriguing songwriting. Later on, he dived deeply into the pioneers of electronic music such as Daft Punk, Skrillex, and Avicii which ultimately defined his love and adoration for electronic music. During high school, he discovered The Weeknd and Gesaffelstein, the two artists who would ultimately make him drown in his feelings and further develop his production and songwriting skills toward a much more intimate, darker, and intriguing style. His latest release "Nails" together with G. Elisabeth is the beginning of a new journey and a taste of what's to come in 2024.
