ANDRÉ SAMPAIO releases the new album “ALAGBE” – Afro-rock, hypnotic grooves and a strong Afro – Brazilian identity With an afro-rock guitar that marks the current brazilian music, André Sampaio releases his new album “Alagbe”. The sound path created on trips to Mali, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Senegal, Guinea and Brazil is consolidated on his new work. The artist is releasing the album "ALAGBE", which feature twelve new songs recorded in the legendary Traquitana studio (from Bixiga 70 recordings), with musical production of Cris Scabello (Bixiga 70) and mixed by Victor Rice (two times Latin Grammy Award). The album has the special features of Okwei Odili (Nigeria), Lenna Bahule (Mozambique), Sekou Diarra (Burkina Faso) and also members of Bixiga 70 and Nomade Orquestra. The cover art and all the visual ID had been made by Ricardo Magrão (artist responsible for creating the covers for Criolo, Nação Zumbi, Russo Passapusso and many others). His first album “Desaguou” had got a really good audience in Brazil and in the international scene, with four tunes released into european compilations (Paris DJs, Farout Records, Mais Um Discos and BBE), and a remix of the track “Zimbabwenin” by Digital Dubs featuring Cedric Myton and Ranking Joe (Jamaica) - "In The Beggining" (BMundo Label). With deep sounds and rhythms like candomble Ketu and coco (afro-brazilian drums) merge the mandinga guitar and psicodelic rock ambiances. Soul music to echo in to the souls of the world.
