Carlos Guedes has a multifaceted activity in composition and sound design, counting numerous commissioned projects for dance, theater, film, interactive installations, and conventional concert music presented internationally. His eclectic style reflects many influences from experimental electronic, industrial, Jazz, free improv, techno and spectral music. He has composed a wide range of works, often in collaboration with other musicians or other artists in interdisciplinary collaborative projects. Originally from Porto, Portugal, Carlos Guedes currently lives in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he his an Associate Professor of Music at New York University Abu Dhabi and expands his musical activity through the Eastern Hemisphere.
