Biography

Theo Naishtat is a jazz guitarist from Buenos Aires, Argentina (2000). Graduated from the Manuel de Falla Conservatory of Buenos Aires, he is now based in Amsterdam, as part of the prestigious European Jazz Master programme of the Conservatories of Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, and Trondheim. With two albums as a leader, "Refugio" (2021) and "Afinidades" (2023), and several recordings as a sideman, Theo Naishtat has been a very active member of the Argentinian jazz scene, performing regularly in the jazz clubs and theaters of Buenos Aires. He has been the artist-in-residence of the jazz concert series at the Contemporary Art Museum of Buenos Aires "MACBA Jazz" in 2021 and 2022, where he perfomed with different groups in each concert. In 2023 he moved to Trondheim, Norway, where he studied the first semester of the EUJAM programme at NTNU Jazzlinja, and perfomed in different venues with his quartet and other groups. In 2024 he moved to the Netherlands to do the second semester of the programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
