Biography

The music of composer and conductor JOSH TRENTADUE (b. 1994) explores philosophical and spiritual views on humanity, nature, and life itself, balancing contemporary and evocative textures with unconventional and experimental soundscapes. An advocate of new music, he seeks to provide immersive and engaging experiences for performers and audiences everywhere. Trentadue’s concert works are regularly programmed by artists and ensembles around the world and have been performed at the Cortona Sessions for New Music, the North American Saxophone Alliance Conference, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, The Midwest Clinic New Music Reading Sessions, and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Their works have received awards and recognition from the Columbia Summer Winds Outdoor Composition Contest and the Dallas Winds Brass Fanfare Competition. Films that Trentadue has scored have garnered critical acclaim domestically and internationally, receiving screenings at the British Film Institute Future Film Festival, the TIDE Film Festival, the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, and the Asian Film Festival - Los Angeles. Trentadue's multimedia work extends to several fixed-media electroacoustic compositions and two EPs.
