NappyKatt is a 20 year old rap artist from South Africa who prides himself in his “masterful use of lyricism and imagery in his songs and his exclusive style” (Kreative Korner). NappyKatt is originally born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa where he resided with his family before moving to Los Angles to further his career. NappyKatt started making music at the young age of 15 with his producer Dj Boppin (Sithembiso Khumalo) after being inspired by a video of Kanye West creating and performing the song Lost in the World from Kanye’s 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Since then NappyKatt has gone on to work with some big names from his home such as Blxckie on the song Load It Up or KashCpt and Hanna on one of NappyKatt’s fan favorite songs Love & HipHop.
