Jane Lynch is a multi-talented actress, comedian, and singer who first caught the public's attention with her work on Christopher Guest's improv mockumentary Best in Show, and for her role as Sue Sylvester on the popular musical comedy-drama television series Glee. Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Lynch spent her formative years acting at Chicago's Tony Award-winning Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She began acting in film and television in the late 1980s, eventually starring in a Frosted Flakes commercial directed by Christopher Guest.
