I started singing at 39 in a local chorus and moved into solo work and lead singing with a rock/blues band. Four bands later I am the leader of the Lola Sweet Band and we play at the Sanctuary in Maynard, Nosh in Concord and Warp and Weft in Lowell fairly regular. I also sing with a Steely Dan cover band called the Nightflies. I have a jazz trio called the Lori Z Jazz Trio and we have many gigs in the metrowest boston area. I started doing jazz with small groups about 10 years ago after joining Interplay Jazz in Vermont and taking lessons with Rebecca Parris. Jazz is my love and recording a jazz cd has been my dream.
