Peace Mcebisi Jimba, also known by his stage name 9Peace hails from Gugulethu, Cape Town, ZA. Born into a family immersed in the hip hop culture, he got introduced to music at an early age by one of his uncles. 
 9Peace’s early musical influences bear testimony to his versatile style and curiosity to raise the bar and push the envelope. These include and not limited to: Prokid, HHP, The Fugees and BlackStarr 
 As he grew musically he gravitated towards artists like Kanye West, AKA, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000 to mention a few. At this point his hunger to bless the mic had reached its peak and this prompted him to start writing his own music. A few years later at the age of 16 he dared and decided to take music seriously and started making his own. Since then, he’s had the rare opportunity to be taken under the wing of the late-great HHP. That alone was an eye opener and welcomed introduction into the industry’s ins and outs. He’s subsequently worked with many Cape Town and Johannesburg artists but then decided to return home to find his roots. 
 Feeling he was standing too close to the elephant he decided to step back in order to study the industry, sharpen his craft and network with other industry creatives. Now that he has found the “sound” he’s most comfortable with, 9Peace is ready to take YOU on a musical oddessy. 
 9Peace is currently working on his debut EP titled “As I Am” - coming to an ear near yours soon, so stay tuned!
