Retoños del Río is a vibrant Norteño and Sax music group from Rio Grande, Zacatecas, where they formed in 2010. They began their musical journey at a young age, inheriting a deep love for music from their parents and grandparents, initially performing locally, the band consists of Adiel Aranda (vocalist and bajo sexto), Elmer Aranda (drummer), Alvaro Aranda (accordionist), Cecilio Chairez (saxophonist), and Ian Rodriguez (bassist). In 2015, they ventured to the United States to record their album "De Buena Escuela," marking a significant milestone in their career. Subsequent releases included "Se Abre el Telón" in 2017 and the innovative "Proyecto Seis." They paid homage to the legendary Los Montañeses del Álamo with the tribute album "Fierros Viejos." In 2019, Retoños del Río embarked on a successful tour across the United States, further cementing their presence in the regional music scene. Amidst the economic and health challenges of 2020, the band remained active and resilient, creating the album "Andanzas." Their collaboration with DB STUDIOS on "Norteñas del Monte" in 2021 marked their triumphant return to the stage. Their track “Bonita” was featured on the Spotify playlist “Radar Mexico,” garnering widespread acclaim. Retoños del Río continues to innovate and entertain with their latest hit "Caí Redondito," which has resonated deeply with their audience.
