BLYC, an EDM duo, was formed in 2018 with an emphasis on electronic music. The signature sound of BLYC consists of uplifting melodies with a fusion of hard hitting synths and growls, all while drawing on pop and hip hop elements that contribute to a BLYC-specific hybrid style of EDM. BLYC also utilises themes, such as utopia, dystopia and cyberpunk, to embrace the future and to enhance the experience of their songs. It also helps to fit in with the style of certain songs - optimistic and futuristic or dark and gritty, giving an interesting contrast. Some notable achievements include them participating in the 2018 Noise Music Mentorship under DJ KoFlow. Individually, both members are also songwriters for the Zendyll Music Collective founded by Jon Chua JX of The Sam Willows, as well as being former interns of Zendyll Productions, having been mentored by the local producers there.
