Biography

“I like all kinds of music – rock, hip hop, new wave, psychedelic, classical. Why should artists limit themselves to one style? We are the playlist-making, shuffle-friendly generation. As artists, we’re very fortunate to be creating in the present climate. I’m a punk at heart. Freedom of expression is what music is about. If you aren’t free to experiment 'cause your label want a repeat of your last album, what’s the point?” THE BACK STORY After losing her passport on a train from London to Paris, a very teenage Nadéah began busking. She played in front of a small bar in St Germain, where French guitarist, Art Menuteau tipped a euro and invited her to record at his home studio. Five songs later they moved to Brighton, England, and founded the alt rock band, The loveGods. All was going well until nadeah got kicked out of the UK (stay tuned for the upcoming single, "British immigration don't love me no more”). She cried, returned to Paris, learned French and joined French Touch group ,Nouvelle Vague which she fronted for 3 years before going solo and recording 3 albums in just as many styles. Melbourne born, Nadéah Miranda, has supported Tame Impala, Nick Cave, Mick Jones (The Clash), Fun Lovin’ Criminals, James, The Do, Damian Rice, Yodelice, Charlie Winston and shared the bill with Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Kelis, Funkadelic, Snow Patrol and Lily Allen. Her favourite places to play are Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury, Irving Plaza and anywhere in Brighton. https://nadeah.com/
