Richie Culture is a Birmingham-born artist, for whom music is a way of life. Raised in Moseley, his lyrics and music are a reflection of its intense urban culture, and his own deeply-rooted connection to nature. As well as being a recording artist, Richie is deeply embedded in the Midlands as an event producer, having hosted David Rodigan, Mungo’s Hi-Fi, Evermoor Sound, Lila Ike, YT, Gardna, and Charlie P to name a few. He has also been a regular fixture at Shambala Festival for over a decade, DJing with his collective, Young Culture Sound. Musically, Richie’s diverse influences and inspirations range from Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, Pablo Rider, Solo Banton, YT, and Sizzla. However, his art is also deeply earth-conscious and draws heavily from his vegetarian ‘ital’ lifestyle. Richie Culture has just release his latest single, Roadblock, a contemporary reggae / Hip Hop track produced by Robbie Melody. This will be his first release of 2024, followed by the latest EP from his band, Young Culture, titled ‘Hard Times’ - due out 31 May 2024. This Summer, in commemoration of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Halie Selassie-I, Richie will be publishing his second four-track EP, ‘Hail H.I.M.’, also produced by Robbie Melody - a devotional roots reggae release, paying homage to the King of Kings. Hail H.I.M. will be released on 23 July, coinciding with The Emperor’s birthday, on Trench Road Records.
